Register of WHS Entry Permit Holders

As from 1 January 2012, pursuant to s. 151 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 the industrial registrar must keep available for public access an up-to-date register of WHS entry permit holders as provided under a regulation.

Regulation 31 of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 provides for section 151 of the Act, the commission must publish on its website:

(a)  an up-to-date register of WHS entry permit holders; and
(b)  the date on which the register was last updated

The Register below contains the following information:

(a)  the name of the WHS entry permit holder;
(b)  the name of the union that the WHS entry permit holder represents; and
(c)  the term of the WHS entry permit.

A WHS entry permit holder may enter a workplace for the purpose of inquiring into a suspected contravention of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.

WHS entry permit holders can exercise rights under sections 117, 120 and 121 of the Act.
